real physics — fling a photo and the string whips with it
EVIDENCE LOCKER

Everything a wall needs.

▣ Photos

Drop in any image — it becomes a glossy printed photograph with a white border, a pin, and a shadow. It never leaves your machine.

▤ Sticky notes

Handwritten scraps in four colors, with folded corners. Double-click to scribble.

▥ Index cards

Typewritten suspect, location and note cards with red-ruled headers — stamped like the real thing.

THE STAR OF THE SHOW

String with a physics degree.

Most tools draw connections as flat lines. Redstring simulates every thread as a chain of ~50 particles under gravity — so it sags between pins, whips when you fling a photo, swings past its mark, and settles like a real thread on a real board. Drag anything and watch the whole web react.

QUESTIONS

For the record

Who is this for?

Writers plotting novels, TTRPG game masters running mysteries, true-crime enthusiasts, researchers mapping sources, product folks tracing dependencies — anyone whose thinking looks like “things on a wall, connected by string.”

Is my board really private?

Yes. Redstring is a static page — there is no server. Photos and notes are stored in your browser only. Nothing is uploaded, ever.

How does the one-time payment work?

Pro is verified directly on-chain in your browser: send ~$24 of ETH on Base (an Ethereum L2 — fees under a cent, confirms in seconds) or Ethereum mainnet, paste the transaction, done. No processor, no account, nothing stored about you.

Does it run on my machine?

It's WebGL — any reasonably modern laptop or desktop runs it at 60fps. The physics sleeps threads that aren't moving, so big boards stay smooth.
